After deep loss or profound trauma, many of us may feel like our heart has been broken, as though we are actually physically debilitated by the pain of the experience; accordingly, any thought of recovery is seemingly inconceivable. While time can be a curative, we may be afraid of change, of a new life, of the unknown. We may feel so much at times that it seems impossible to make those feelings stop – the excruciating emotions, the crushing physical pangs. Or we may be afraid that we’ll have to start feeling what we’ve buried so deeply if we were to let go. But healing can only happen when we finally do allow ourselves to let go of everything that we were and open up to everything that we are about to become.
Join us for a yoga practice that will create the space in which to release emotional tension, and nourish your heart so that you can heal. Postures will focus on calming your nervous system so that your unconscious mind learns that it is safe to be open. Together we’ll practice stillness, offer gratitude, and surrender to what is.
