Everyday struggles, life transitions, loss, fears of specific situations, and other stressors can lead to changes in the nervous system and brain, leaving a lingering effect on the body and mind. Current research indicates that the practice of yoga is an effective treatment for symptoms of anxiety.

Anxiety affects many of us in different ways. Everyday struggles, life transitions, loss, fears of specific situations, and other stressors can lead to changes in the nervous system and brain, leaving a lingering effect on the body and mind. Current research indicates that the practice of yoga is an effective treatment for symptoms of anxiety. Come join us as we focus on welcoming peace to the mind and body through a combination of discussion, breath work, meditation and gentle movement. All levels welcome.

-Understand how stress and anxiety can affect the nervous system and brain
-Learn strategies for managing anxiety you can practice on your own
-Leave the workshop feeling grounded, centered, and relaxed

Presented by Jamie White, RYT

Jamie White is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher who is dedicated to the practice of weaving together counseling psychology, neuroscience and yoga. She specializes in coming alongside clients to help them move through their lives with a felt sense of centeredness and balance, instead of being thrown off by the negative effects of stress, anxiety and trauma. Jamie believes that the changes we experience in our minds, bodies and spirits on our yoga mat can translate into healing and more abundant living in our lives off of the mat.
