So many of us run to a yoga mat as a healthy way to deal with stress and anxiety. But why does it work? Is it because we can get lost in the movement? Is it the deep breathing? Is it being surrounded by likeminded people? It’s all of the above and more!
In this workshop, we will learn why we panic, and what we can do to counteract the effects that anxiety and stress can have on the body. Through education, movement, and suggestions for some safe and effective herbal remedies, we can arm ourselves with tools to manage our emotions. If you get depressed instead of anxious this workshop is for you too, as they are opposite sides of the same coin. All levels welcomed and encouraged to join! Plus free goodies!
Kristina Erikson is a yoga teacher, actress and filmmaker. She began practicing yoga in the early 2000’s and became an instructor in 2008. Currently she works at Equinox and Living Yoga in Forest hills. She is in post-production for her first short film, Evolved, which she wrote, directed, starred and produced. Her anxiety is in remission.
