Focus: Yoga's use of breathing and centering techniques can be valuable tools for event preparation, routine and skill visualization, as well as stress/anxiety reduction.
Improve Bio-Mechanics and Energy Conservation: Yoga improves flexibility and joint range of motion and reduces muscle tension.
Increase Stamina: Via increased lung capacity and strength. Maximal lung health is vital for athletes, especially for those who partake in aerobic-based sports and require efficient lungs to deliver sufficient oxygen uptake.
Reduce Soreness: Release lactic acid, lubricate joints and muscles. Yoga can act as a self-massage to release tension pre and post training.
