Grief can be defined as our reaction to a major loss, whether it life, heartbreak or even unexpected life change. We sometimes hold on to grief, or even store it away, causing both emotional as well as physical discomfort. This workshop is designed to offer participants tools to invite and allow whatever is ready, to be released. We will explore, through breath, playful asana, and restoratives, a means to release, relax, and lighten our hearts. All levels welcome!
Before relocating to Austin, Kimberly was named in Backstage Magazine's 'Best of ' under favorite yoga class. Kimberly began her practice in 1998 after many attempts at trying yoga but never really resonating with it. Then she discovered Ashtanga. As an actor in NYC, she used her personal practice before every performance as a tool for focus and connection on stage, in addition to using it as a tool to deepen her breath as a singer. As her journey continued, she had the privilege to study with Jasmine Lieb for Therapeutics, where she discovered the amazing healing abilities of yoga. As a result, Kimberly had the opportunity to teach for Team Survivor—a non-profit organization providing free healing modules for women living with cancer. Read more about Kimberly here.
