These 2 workshops are about getting out of back pain and avoiding surgery. Strength, Posture, and flexibility will be our tools to success. Standing, sitting, walking, mat work not so much.
Yoga for Old Carpenter Farts is all about relieving lower back pain and avoiding back surgery. We will use strength, alignment, and good posture to relieve and stay out of pain. I use many of the exercises made popular by Dr. Eric Goodman, author of “Foundation.” Chi Walking and Running Priciples will also be introduced to help us stay pain free and have more energy while sitting, standing, and walking. I am a Certified Chi Walking/Running instructor, Certified Yoga Instructor, and a US Fencing Association Coach.
We are here to have a good time, get in shape, live well, and hopefully live longer. For me, Yoga is about improving the quality of my time in this body. Less pain, more flexibility, a little “it’s okay to take some time for me attitude,” is what this class is all about. Not really an old carpenter fart but want to join our crew anyway? No fears, all ages and both sexes are invited.
