Yoga for Osteoporosis
In this workshop, Julia will teach you yoga poses that stimulate bone growth and provide guidelines for living healthfully with osteoporosis.
Type of Event
In this workshop you will learn exercises and yoga postures that serve to enhance new bone growth, in addition to strengthening muscles to support bone structure. Julia draws from her 40-hour training, Yoga for Osteoporosis (taught by Loren Fishman and Ellen Saltonstall) as well as the Meek Method for treating osteoporosis and the book, Strong Women, Strong Bones.
Learn what should be avoided if you have osteoporosis, but best of all, learn what will strengthen you overall so that the diagnosis does not dampen your mood or impinge upon your life.
