Full Description

At about 35 years old, women may begin to experience fluctuations in their hormone balance. At 40 years and until menses have stopped for at least a year, women are considered "perimenopausal". Once the menses have stopped for at least a year women are considered "menopausal". A women's reproductive life, from her first cycle until her last, can be a huge part of her self-identity and esteem. Hot flashes, mood swings, and all sorts of exciting symptoms can crop up and even interfere with daily living. When there's a change it can be traumatic, lonely, confusing, and/or liberating. Or we can welcome these changes with curiosity, humor, even joy. Join newly-minted 50-year old Liz Belile as she shares her experiences, yoga practices, and the miscellaneous resources she has found while going through these massive and sometimes baffling changes. Bring a notebook and something with which to write. All levels of yoga experience welcome.
