Yoga for Rheumatoid Arthritis - relief in yoga poses
A workshop to assist in the relief of discomfort, through yoga poses, that occurs for people suffering with this autoimmune disease.
Type of Event
Please arrive 15mins early so that the workshop can start on time. There will be a 15min break half way through this 2.5hr workshop.
Through this workshop you will learn supported yoga poses to gently open up the body, designed specifically to relieve the discomfort/pain that is associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis. By connecting with your breath and body in this way, it will help when you are having "flare ups" to have a practice of yoga (and "me time") that gives you space and freedom from the inflammation and fatigue that occurs with this disease. There will be Pranayama (breathing) practice and meditation as well as the asana (poses) to give you the skills and confidence to do this on your own at home.
