About Vladimir Jandov
Vladimir (“Vlad”) Jandov was diagnosed with minor functional scoliosis at age 12. From the age of 5, Vlad painted and drew while curled up on the floor, which contributed to the uneven curve of his spine.

Fortunately, Vlad spent a summer camp in Crimea, where he met a very talented doctor and trainer for the national swimming team. Vlad began working with Dr. Pavlov on daily basis, using a specific physical exercise routine which was updated every couple of weeks.

After the 3-month long course, Vlad returned home with a strict set of rules: no lying around on the couch, only sitting on a stool or standing upright when reading, watching TV, etc., and daily physical exercise. Vladimir followed these rules for many years and was able to correct his scoliosis and practice yoga and martial arts throughout high school.

Naturally, these experiences deeply impacted Vladimir’s career choice. After coming to the , Vladimir discovered Iyengar Yoga, becoming Iyengar-certified in 2006. Vladimir has studied with the Iyengars in Pune, India as well as with scoliosis expert Elise Browning Miller, and teaches throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
