Yoga for the Special Child® Basic One Program Toronto
This unique yoga method developed by the internationally renowned senior yoga teacher Sonia Sumar has been improving the lives of children with special needs across the globe for over forty-five years and has made incredible mark in the world.

The Basic One Program is a 6-day course that begins at 9:00 on Sunday August 11 and ends at 5:00 on Friday August 16. The daily schedule includes a one hour lunch break at 1:00 pm
Yoga for the Special Child®, The Sonia Sumar Method, is a comprehensive training course in the theory & practice of yoga techniques for babies and children with learning and/or developmental disabilities from 0 - 12 years old. It offers a unique learning environment for children and their parents, special education teachers, yoga teachers, massage therapists and adaptive physical education teachers. Yoga for the Special Child® Programs are also appropriate for the continuing education of health-care specialists in a variety of fields including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Paediatric and Rehabilitation Nursing.

The program is part of a 95hours (Basic Part 2 – 55hours) program accredit by Yoga Alliance US and UK.
