The Yoga Foundations courses are $350 plus tax per each 20 hour module.

Full Description

We offer Yoga Foundations courses in retreat settings and in our teacher's home communities - currently in Calgary, Kitchener-Waterloo, Sarnia, Woodstock and Toronto. (And we are looking for students to help us expand!) Meeting weekly or in a retreat format, we begin each session with a check in to see how you are feeling emotionally and physically. Each person is given the opportunity to ask questions and share what is going on in their life whether it is yoga related or not. It is this dialogue opportunity, in our opinion, that makes MYI programs so special. Through creating community and relationship, our students are supported by our teachers and each other in a powerful and transformative way. After our check in time, the teacher tailors a yoga practice for the individual needs of each student in your small group, both physical and emotional. They may help you with an alignment issue or offer you useful techniques for coping with stress. It's a fascinating process and you are encouraged to ask questions, take notes or even photographs! The final portion of the session is used to cover the course material such as yoga history and philosophy in a dialogue format. Our students find that as the course progresses, they are supported in establishing a yoga practice at home that best suits their mental and physical needs.
