07.30-08.30 Sunrise Yoga Practice – Discovering the Space/Spirit Element
08.30 Breakfast
10.00 Pick up for Hike: The hidden ancient city of Laodikeia.
Starting from the upper village of Beycik (800m above sea level) we gain a forest track high on the slopes of Mount Olympos. Along the way there is a superb panorama of the sea, the Adrasan peninsula and Beycik. We now descend to the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Laodikeia. The city was situated in a spectacular place, above a rock band on a steep slope at 1000m altitude. We will take advantage of the magnificent energy here and sit for a short while overlooking the world below and enjoy a guided mediation.
In the hidden ruins we can search for the Agora (meeting place), old doorways, and cisterns. On the return journey we stop for lunch by a beautiful spring then follow shepherds paths passing ancient cultivation terraces overgrown by a variety of trees and bushes, like the carob tree, myrtle, kermes oak and olive tree. If we are lucky we may even see the giant tortoises bathing in the warm sunshine. 4-5 hours walking, 250m of ascent.
16.00 hrs Returning to Beycik, we will have Tea and Cakes at Sibels Four Seasons Café and Restaurant before heading back down to Cirali to freshen up for dinner.

In the morning a short hike takes us from Cıralı to Yanartas (the burning stones), where, according to Homer's legend, the Chimaera, a terrifying, fire-breathing monster is said to have lived.
Higher up we take an old sheperds crossing a ridge. The trail now leads into a wooded valley. We cross and follow a streams to Sarmaşik village, where we have lunch on a meadow with many flowers. Later we follow shady paths to the romantic ruins of Olympos in a dense laurel forest. Olympos was once one of the most important cities of Lycia due to its strategic location on the coast. At various times it was under Greek and Roman control and was for a period, a pirate stronghold. We have time to explore the ruins and enjoy the rich
wildlife in the area including the colourful kingfisher hunting by the nearby streams. After visiting the site we hike along the beautiful beach of Cıralı back to the hotel. 4-5 hours walking, 250m of ascent.

A population of the endangered Mediterranean monk seal is reported to inhabit the coast. We will explore the fine coastal scenery by boat. There will be several opportunities to swim and explore the bays before and after our lunch, which will be served by the crew of the boat.

Breakfast 08.30
10.00 hrs Pick up for Hike: Mount Olympus, 2365m (Turkish: Tahtalı) dominates with its vertical limestone walls the image of the coastline between Kemer and Cıralı. Despite its very alpine appearance it is technically not difficult to hike the mountain. A nice path winds it way up from Beycik village through dense stands of cedar of Lebanon, old juniperus trees and hornbeam, to a saddle where we have a break and enjoy the packed lunches. Leaving the forest, we ascend through an alpine landscape to the peak. During the tour we can enjoy fantastic views to the sea and the surrounding mountains. On the steep rock faces of the mountains, the magnificent Bezoar goats are still found. Instead of walking down all the way, we take the comfortable cable car and glide effortlessly back into the valley. 5 hours walking, 1400m ascent.
Alternatively, if there is to much snow on the peak, we cross the mentioned saddle and descend to mountain pastures of Üç Oluk Yayla (Üç Oluk mountain pasture). Here in summer nomads set up their tents with herds of sheeps and goats. On the mountain pastures a rich flora with many species of lilies, orchids, sunflowers, anemones genistas and many others can be found.

The path meanders under ancient plane trees and steep rocky cliffs, around every bend there is something new to discover. The tour continues downriver and eventually we reach a waterfall. The surrounding lush vegetation with big plane trees, figs and dense stands of Venus hair fern reminds of a place in the tropics. Here we will dip in the pool under the waterfall and have fun taking yoga photos with this ideal backdrop before enjoying a guided mediation practice. 4 hours of walking, 200m ascent
