Our fun filled yoga teaching programme goes beyond the physical postures by exploring the emotional and spiritual aspects of the traditional ancient teachings. Led by highly regarded teacher Wenche Beard, the course allows you to learn from one of the country’s leading instructors and develop your passion for yoga in a safe and nurturing environment. Using her unique style, Wenche retains the authenticity of this classic discipline yet relates it to the demands of our modern world.
Our course will be accredited by Yoga Alliance as a RYS200 programme. The endorsement of this highly-regarded body gives students the designation Trainee Yoga Teacher (TYT) and provides them with insurance to teach up to two classes per week whilst they train. The RYT 200 qualification is recognised worldwide, allowing an instructor to work and gain insurance to teach wherever they wish. If they take out insurance with Yoga Alliance they will be covered to teach for up to 120 days worldwide as part of the policy, as long as they spend at least six months living in the UK during the same as a RYT 200 and work in any UK health club or studio, or establish their own yoga studio.
What will I study?
The course consists of a range of units including; underpinning principles of teaching yoga; anatomy and physiology for yoga, planning a series of yoga sessions; health and safety for yoga; teaching a yoga session; first aid for yoga – additional qualification.
How will I be assessed?
A range of methods will be used including; Practical assessment and observation, worksheets, portfolio of
evidence and reflective journal, and a multiple choice test.
How long is the course?
The course is delivered on the last weekend of every month for eight months, with an additional seven-day retreat in Egypt towards the end of the course (slight changes in dates may take place).

Are there any entry requirements?
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should be aged 16+ and have a suggested minimum of two years experience of participating in yoga classes. The course involves an element of physical exertion, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. All learners should attend an information day and informal interview where their suitability for the course will be assessed.
What are the costs?
The total cost of the course, including Yoga Life Teacher Training Manual and the seven-day retreat (including flights, accommodation, and all meals) is from £2895 (additional cost may apply). 50% of total cost is payable on booking to secure a place (personalised payment plans can be discussed).
