Yoga & Mediation With Christine Hou
This open-level workshop beckons those with a curiosity, passion, and even obsession for Yoga and Meditation. Participants will learn a creative yoga sequence that will awaken the body, breath, and heart.
Type of Event
The class will begin with breathing exercises, warm-up, and sun salutations. We will continue to explore mindful movement through variety of standing poses with focuses ranging from heart and hip openers to twists and the core. Practice will conclude with another breathing exercise and a sitting meditation. This workshop is an opportunity to connect breath and movement while bringing awareness to the energies inside every body and the interconnectivity of all beings. First timers and experienced yogis welcome!

Christine Hou started her yoga practice in earnest while working as an arts educator for New York City schools. Yoga became a natural extension of her interests in understanding energy as it relates to the body and the world around us. Christine believes yoga is embodied poetry, a way to connect the physical and mental self by bringing awareness to our breath and movement. Christine received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training from Joschi Yoga Institute and 20-hour Yin Yoga Training from Pure Eas.
