Mindfulness practices meet martial arts in this unique fusion of ESD (Empowerment Self-Defense) training with yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
This four-day workshop is a dynamic mix of games, activities, reflection and verbal/non verbal skills focused on boundary setting, assertive communication, and simple and effective physical techniques.

Empowerment Self-Defense was created by women Martial Artists who recognized that the "self defense" they were being taught was catered to how men fight men. Therefore, they developed "Empowerment Self Defense" as a means to incorporate the social and cultural contexts specific to violence perpetrated against marginalized populations.
Through ESD, we create community. We connect through shared experience. We find our individual and collective strength. And we remember how to PLAY while we do so.
