The benefits of Yoga Nidra have shown in not only my other yoga practices, but my lifestyle as well. Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep. It is a state of mind between wakefulness and dream like that opens deep phases of the mind. Practicing Yoga Nidra allows you to work through the consequences of deeds (karma), by cleansing the store consciousness and purifying the unconscious mind. This practice will heighten your sense of intuition and awareness that may bring you to a state that could lead you to new realizations (samadhi) and being awareness-bliss (satchitananda). You may also become aware of past and future lives and experience the astral planes through this experience of yogic sleep.
