Yoga Nidra - NEW term

Yoga Nidra is a deeply nourishing practice that starts by working through various stages of relaxation, giving time to the body to heal itself and restore its natural balance. Once body and mind are fully relaxed the practice can be taken to another level and one is guided into deeper states of consciousness.

Dear all,

I am now back to London and classes are starting next Sunday, same place same time. For this term there will be no break for half term, so we ll be practicing together all the way through for the next four months until Christmas holidays.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice originating from Tantras- Sacred Vedic scriptures- and it roughly translates as yogic or conscious sleep.

During regular sleep we do not unburden totally; instead we carry our frustrations, conflicts, pain and turmoil with us in sleep, hence sleep never goes deep. This creates constant tension in body and mind.
Yoga Nidra reduces all kind of tension, healing nervous system and endocrine imbalance. Regular practice enables us to dive deep into the realm of subconscious and thereby release any tension and burdensome patterns and habits.

Yoga Nidra is one of the most effective forms of psychic and physiological rest; it helps to rejuvenate body and mind, as well as to restore a state of calm and peace and therefore it is particularly beneficial for people leading busy and stressful lives.

No experience needed, just the ability to lay down still for one hour.

On alternate Sundays 7:30- 8:30pm Zen Yoga Camberwell

The use of mat is included but you can bring your own if you have one, a blanket to keep your body warm as you relax, a small pillow and a bottle of water.
