Full Description

‘Movement is the song of the body’ Vanda Scaravelli

Pauline Johnson welcomes you to her retreat at this very special venue. Come and be inspired, leave with life-long friendships. Pauline runs public yoga classes, workshops and retreats in the beautiful South Downs area in Sussex,UK. Pauline is a Registered Yoga Alliance 200hr Teacher, completed in Bali with Shakti Spirit Teacher and Ayurvedic Training.

Pauline has been practicing yoga for 19 years, enjoying Hatha, Ashtanga and many varieties of yoga. For some years now she have been deeply inspired by the yoga of Vanda Scaravelli, working with Vanda’s students Diane Long and Sophie Hoare, also with Christine Borg. Pauline has also trained in the UK with Srivatsa Ramaswami, who was Krishnamacharya’s devoted student for 30 years. Her practice and passion is focused on bringing the spine to life in a very deep and compassionate way, which is such a joy. Pauline’s training and teaching includes Ayurveda, which underpins how each body ‘type’ practices and lives to suite their body, mind and spirit.

Our intimate retreat will create a safe community space for relaxation, practice & fun. The fabulous Pomegranate venue and wonderful sea/ mountain landscape surrounding us in Turkey provide the rest. All you need to do is join us.

Morning practice will awaken the body with a full and explorative practice, including asana, flow, and deep connection. The late morning through to late afternoon are free to enjoy the pool, beach, walks, massage, hamman or just reading under an orange tree. Late afternoon practice will be more nurturing, restorative, including meditation and yoga which looks in detail at our own needs. One day will be free (early morning practice available) for an excursion. Each student will have opportunity in the week to work on issues specific to their needs, noticing a real difference to body freedom by the end of the week.

Pauline Johnson is Yoga Equals, teaching in The South Downs, West Sussex, UK
