Yoga Safari Holiday in South Africa
Join us for an unforgettable experience. Soak up the African sunshine while restoring your body’s vital energies, your mind’s focus and your soul’s synchronicity.
Type of Event
We land in Johannesburg on the morning of 6th November and fly out again to return home on 21st November 2018.
You are invited to join us and enjoy a relaxing and exhilarating YOGA SAFARI adventure to South Africa! This retreat is hosted by Hilde, who lives in Europe, but has the expertise of a local guide, as she was born in SA. This holiday is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice or begin Yoga for the first time. Encounter wildlife up close in their beautiful natural habitat, the African landscape.
This holiday is the perfect blend of relaxation, safari, sight-seeing and sunshine, coupled with the delightful hospitality, delicious food and world class wines South Africa has to offer.
Our experience has taught us to create a Safari Holiday that is varied, so that it is equally enjoyed by yogis and their non-yogi counterparts or spouses. In addition to the scheduled activities, we can offer (let us know well in advance): lake fishing, horse riding, hiking and golf instead of yoga, or in addition.
This safari promises:
*A unique opportunity to explore Africa’s diverse beauty, wildlife and vibrant culture with expert local guides.
*We will bring you on the Safari of a lifetime, visiting two game parks, including the Kruger National Wildlife Park.
*You will truly encounter the vital Rainbow Nation of South Africa, visit urban areas and experience the breath-taking African scenery.
*Soak up the African sunshine while restoring your body’s essential energies, your mind’s focus and your soul’s synchronicity.
*The Country and its majesty will be the backdrop to your daily yoga practice as you create flexibility, strength & calm in your body-mind.
*Emerge from the holiday rejuvenated, inspired and ready for the next chapter of your life.
You will visit the historic and cosmopolitan cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg, with a tour of Soweto, and immerse yourself in the glorious African bush for 2 separate wildlife safaris. There will be a farm stay in beautiful Mpumalanga Province with plenty of yoga and movement practice as well as optional visits to a wildlife sanctuary and the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Centre at Maropeng, to mention but a few of the fascinating excursions.
Choose how much or how little participation in yoga and excursions is right for you. It is your holiday, so we invite you to set your own pace and we will be there to look after you!
