Full Description

In this Yoga Teacher Training Immersion, like Alice, you will take an adventure through the wonderland of the asana practice. Through curious exploration of the ancient roots of this 5000 year old practice, you will gain perspective that helps you to better know yourself and your authentic nature. Journey to the glorious sugar sand beaches of Pensacola Florida to allow yourself to be cleansed by the aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Meditate daily in the sacred gardens housing magnolia trees, crepe myrtles, camellias, cast iron sculptures and palm trees, allowing the organic qualities of nature to whisper to your true self. Practice in the Japanese Tea House studio constructed entirely of bamboo to allow yourself to grow as tall and steady as bamboo. Explore the organic orchards of fig, blueberry, persimmon, lemon, blood orange, peach, and grapefruit trees alongside deer, rabbits, turtles, hawks, humming birds, and the occasional coyote.
The faculty trainers have traveled nationwide to share their wisdom. This training, born in 2008, has been offered in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Colorado, while individual modules of the program have also been taught in Florida, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Illinois. Collectively, your trainers hold credentials and expertise including: bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teaching, yoga certification, massage and bodywork therapy, Reiki Master, shamanic eldership, and chakra reading. During the course of your training, you will have the opportunity to experience therapeutic bodywork, chakra reading, and spiritual shamanic ritual healing.
While most destination yoga teacher trainings require participants to provide their own housing, Fish Tree provides beautiful accommodations in a shared cottage or condominium with a fully equipped kitchen on or near one of Perdido Key’s glorious beaches at an extremely reasonable rate of under $50/night.
Participants will complete all requirements of certification included in the standards for 200 or 500 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) status with Yoga Alliance: Teaching Techniques, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy & Physiology, History & Philosophy & Lifestyle of Yoga, Business & Ethics of Yoga, and a Teaching Practicum.
How We Compare
Fish Tree 200 RYT Standard Destination RYT
Timing One of very few immersion-style programs in the USA, Fish Tree Yoga offers an intensive program that gets you fully 200RYT certified in 3 weeks, or combine your previous 200 RYT with our 300 RYT and receive your 500RYT in just 4 weeks. No extra homework or follow-up study required! Most RYT programs require several modules of study over the course of several months or even a couple years. Those programs that do offer immersion-style programs usually mandate follow-up homework and independent study after program completion before you may receive your certification.
