Yoga Teachers' Retreat Weekend
Following the content from Charlotte’s teacher trainings for Stress, Burnout and Chronic Fatigue (as well as some of her Digestive Health content), this refuge for those who teach others is a space to connect with your true needs and self-care – to both feel independent in your self-enquiry and held by a community of like-minded folk.

Following the content from Charlotte’s teacher trainings for Stress, Burnout and Chronic Fatigue (as well as some of her Digestive Health content), this refuge for those who teach others is a space to connect with your true needs and self-care – to both feel independent in your self-enquiry and held by a community of like-minded folk. The lovely yoga studio will be held as a silent space for you to use as you need.
The morning lead yoga sessions will be after breakfast, so that you are free to lie-in, do your personal practice in the studio or go for a walk before. Charlotte will teach sessions throughout, all with a focus on offering you the time and space to truly step away from the deluge of daily life. Several of these will be recorded, so that you have an audio of the practice (sent after) and can fully experience without feeling you need to remember or write down.
Depending on what you need currently in your life, this weekend can simply be a place to nourish and renew your energy and relationship to your practice away from your teaching. It can ripple into your teaching with connection with others, and maybe practices that may differ from your teaching style. The school, training or ‘type’ of yoga you teach does not matter; the point is to arrive and allow your body to come to a place of potential nurture.
The teachings for the weekend will be somatic, explorative, restorative, meditative and influenced by Feldenkrais, Qi Gong and other practices that step away from an emphasis on reaching particular forms or goals within asana. Through embodied awareness, there will be an emphasis on recognising and offering kind attention to the habits and expectations we may spend our time retreading in our work and personal lives. You are invited to bring a journal to write in for several self-enquiry exercises and any personal reflection along the way.
There is also a treat on the Saturday night, with Ruth Summers of Dao Natural Health running a Therapeutic Soundbath. You can fully relax as the beautiful and therapeutic sounds of gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, rainsticks and therapeutic percussion wash over you; helping to relax the system on all levels of being; physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically/spiritually, bringing calm to the body and mind and inviting a state of deep relaxation similar to meditation. The sound initiates a ‘conversation’ with the system and creates a space within which an individual may see themselves and their process more clearly, offering the potential for deep transformation.
