Embark on a journey of discovery on the Island of the Gods. You'll spend seven days and nights steeped in therapeutic yoga and discover for yourself how asana, meditation and pranayama weave together to create holistic wellbeing.

Accreditation

Participants in the 50hr Yoga Therapy Teacher Training Immersion will receive a certificate of completion that can be used to claim CPD points with both Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance. 50hrs credit will also be applied to students who enrol in the Adore Yoga Therapy 150hr (Yoga Australia Registered) and 300hr (RYS500 accredited) Teacher Training. Immersion Schedule
Please note: We recommend participants arrive a day in advance to ensure timely transfers to the venue. Because this training is an intensive course, there are limited opportunities for shopping and sight-seeing and we recommend extending your stay in Bali either before or after the Yoga Therapy Immersion if you wish to spend time on these activities.

Tuesday 5th May
10am-12pm Airconditioned cars will pick you up from Denpasar airport or your accommodation in Ubud. The transfer to the venue in Tejakula, North Bali, takes between 3-4hrs from the airport or 2-3hrs from Ubud.
4pm Nurturing asana practice and introduction to the principles of yoga therapy.

About the Venue
Beautiful Villa Boreh is a very special place. We will have this self-contained ocean-side paradise all to ourselves, including three sparkling pools, sun deck, spa and volcanic rock beach where we can swim and snorkel. Your room will be twin share villa with ensuite in modern, comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms. All rooms are surrounded by lush tropical gardens and include home made organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash, made with love on-site at Villa Boreh. Single rooms are also available for a supplement of $300.

Dining at Villa Boreh is a fusion of Balinese and Western cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan, GF and lactose free diets are catered for (most food is vegetarian/vegan, with fish offered as a side dish at some meals). Tea, coffee and filtered water are available at no extra cost throughout the day. This is a yogic immersion and alcohol will not be served.

About the Facilitators

Joan Miller

Joan Miller is a senior and talented teacher with over 30 years of experience in yoga teaching and teacher training. Joan takes yoga back to its authentic roots, using the traditional practices of Hatha Yoga to help her students develop spiritual and physical awareness. Certified by over five nationally and internationally recognised bodies, member of Australia’s peak body for Yoga, Yoga Australia and Accredited Journey Therapist, Joan is a highly qualified, compassionate and inspiring Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist and Reiki Master.

Nikola Ellis

BA (hons) Dip. Health (Yoga), Dip. Shiatsu, IAYT, AAYT, E-RYT, Level 3 (Yoga Australia)

Founder and Principal Teacher at Adore Yoga, Nikola Ellis has been immersed in yoga for over 20 years. A certified Level 3 teacher (Yoga Australia) and an ERYT500 teacher (Yoga Alliance) and member of the AAYT (Australian Association of Yoga Therapists) and the IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), she has studied yoga, meditation and yoga therapy with leading international teachers including TKV Desikachar, Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi, Ganesh Mohan, and Saraswathi Vasudevan.

For the past decade, Nikola has specialised in yoga therapy and teacher training, using her wealth of experience to bring the philosophy and practice of yoga vividly to life. Nikola honours the principles of Viniyoga, giving every individual student the practice that best meets their specific needs. She is actively engaged with several non-profits, including Yoga Gives Back, Edo & Jo's A Sound Life project, Cancer Council NSW and is the founder of the Pink Yoga project which is dedicated to making yoga freely available to women with cancer. Nikola is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Kelsey Hendrickson

Kelsey (500 hour certified Hatha and Vinyasa instructor) is a former New York City corporate employee turned Sydney yogi. After working in media as a digital researcher for 7 years, she quit her job and moved to Sydney to pursue the things she really values. She turned what was a part-time gig but full-time passion into a full-time “job” by bringing the practice of yoga to others. Kelsey encourages connected and mindful movement, with awareness on its effects in both the mind and body. Believing in the power of each person's uniqueness, she leaves space for creative expression of posture and breath. Her classes include a mixture of breath awareness, mindfulness and some philosophy all delivered with a down to earth and playful attitude.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Retreat deposits are non refundable and we recommend you take out travel insurance. Earlybird discount is valid for bookings with deposit made before stated Earlybird period ends, with balance of payment due 4 weeks prior to retreat start date. Bookings that are not confirmed with payment of balance at least 4 weeks prior to retreat start date will revert to full price and Earlybird discount will be forfeited.

Should you cancel your booking more than four weeks prior to retreat start date, 50% of the balance after non-refundable deposit will be given. No refunds will be made for cancellations made within 4 weeks of retreat start date. All bookings are transferrable and may be used by another person if you are unable to attend.
