Introductory Workshop 16 hrs over 2 days

Supplementary Workshop | Teacher Training
Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th of March, 2015
Supplementary Workshop** of 16 hrs over 2 days to complete the 32 hours required for Teacher Training* to enable participants to conduct Swing classes in the future (*further consolidation and practice of techniques taught throughout the Workshops will be required prior to instructing others).
**Please note: Only those who have participated in the Introductory Workshop will be eligible to participate in the Supplementary Workshop.
*Students of the Supplementary will be assessed and a Certificate.

The Yoga Swing is an innovative, modern and versatile way to practice and maintain Yoga & total-body conditioning.

As an Aid/Prop to facilitate learning, as a guide for self learning
To assist in developing perception and direction within the asana
To allow the practitioner to explore the intricate details and depth of yoga asanas with support
To assist, maintain and move more deeply into a yoga asana
As a support to move blocked areas/energy in the body
To assist you to hold postures for a longer duration without strain
To assist in relieving discomfort, develop stamina, correct breathing and alertnes, unraveling structural defects
To, most importantly, assist in alignment in Yoga Asana
YOUR TEACHER KAREN FULLER
Karen incorporated the Swing to develop perception, knowledge and alignment in to her personal Yoga practice in Australia. She has used the swing to assist her with personal injuries. Karen instructs how the swing integrates learning and develops precise alignment which also brings with it alignment of the mind and spirit. Through use of the Yoga Swing in the classical poses as set by Patanjali, she demonstrates how students can reach into the areas of their own practice to unlock areas of practice, realign and strengthen and/or to become more open and flexible and improve misalignment in the body. This practice is NOT aerial, acro, anti gravity or flying yoga, gimmicks or the like which we believe are questionable to call yoga as yoga involves all the elements including earth and being grounded thereon. Karen has taught Yoga Swing Workshops and Courses around the world in many locations.
