Full Description

Yorkshire's Three Peaks are an iconic trio of mountains set amid the beautiful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Coveted by many walkers and featuring in countless charity challenges, we will take these peaks one day at a time, leaving time for food and relaxation.

Yorkshire Three

Each with its own personality - all around 700m high but of differing shapes - the Yorkshire Three Peaks share a home in the same beautiful countryside: windswept moorland; stone cottages; hardy hill sheep; a spectacular viaduct; dry stone walls and dark openings to an underground labyrinth of caves.

The rock that makes up the peaks was originally laid down more than 300 million years ago, when the whole area was under the sea. The rock was formed in warm, shallow, tropical seas from shells and skeletons of millions of sea creatures. If you look very carefully there are fossils to be found!

Over the three days you will walk approximately 23 miles, split between each day as below:
Day 1: Whernside - 7.5 miles
Day 2: Pen-y-ghent - 10 miles
Day 3: Ingleborough - 6 miles

Staying in a luxury catered holiday cottage with complimentary bath robes, nourishing food, gorgeous views and a hot tub, you will have the opportunity rest and restore feeling fully looked after.

Each morning you will have the opportunity to practice gentle flow yoga to wake up, warm up and prepare mind and body for the day ahead. This is optional but very much recommended.

Each evening you will have the opportunity to practice guided yoga nidra, a relaxation technique which translates as 'yogic sleep', to relax the mind and send you off to the land of nod.

There's nothing quite like a day of exercise in the great outdoors, good food, a hot shower, good company and a warm cosy bed. This long weekend is designed to relax and revive, leaving you with a healthy sense of satisfaction.
