Full Description

Upcoming Yoga Teacher Training: This unique 200 RYT Hatha Yoga certification is on anatomy and "living your yoga". You are coached by experienced, internationally reknowned teachers, Irum Naqvi and Jo Ann Staugaard-Jones in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

This 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is your opportunity to learn the techniques and methodology for guiding yoga practice with awareness of how to “Live the Yoga” Philosophy. Through this training you will engage in a physical practice and thought provoking discussions, receive the light to explore your inner being; discovering your true self as you bring your awareness to your layers of conditionings and the Samskaras. The transformation will leave you energized, confident and ready to follow your inner calling.

Daily journalling is encouraged and homework may include your personal writings or we will choose a yama and niyama and you will be asked to contemplate and share life challenges while living the yamas and niyamas. The learnings of mantras and chanting, walking meditation, silent time, and sanskrit names of the asanas are part of our training. You will learn how to teach, how to guide and share your yoga practice, built on the foundation of your own practice. The yoga training is to prepare you for sharing and leading yoga sessions, as well as incorporating the balance of mat yoga into your life and the lives you touch.”We invite you to join us for a Yoga Teacher Training 200hr. RYT Certification Retreat with Irum Naqvi, a certified Yoa teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. Irum has been practicing Yoga for 25 years. Influenced by Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kripalu, Anusara, Sivananda and all aspects of Hatha yoga, she focuses her practice on meditation and breath awareness, guiding students into their deeper physical and emotional space.

Combining effort with ease, play and contemplation, her yoga sessions bring transformation that leaves one energized, confident and ready to follow the inner calling. On and off the mat, Irum provides a space that encourages everyone to explore their inner being, discover the true self and unlock layers of conditionings and Samskaras (deep-seated impressions that guide our actions).
Irum's quest to understand life’s purpose led her to yoga and reiki. With more than 4,000 hours of personal practice and close to 1,500 hours of teaching, Irum has organized yoga retreats, compiled a 100- page yoga training manual and trained yoga teachers. She has taught in Canada, Costa Rica, the United States, Austria, Belgium, Israel, and Egypt.
Her philosophy, the deeper we go, the lighter we become.

During the course we will also have as the Anatomy class teacher Jo Ann Staugaard-Jones.
Jo Ann is a professor of kinesiology and dance and author of anatomy books through Lotus Publishing and North Atlantic Books. Her degrees in dance from New York University and movement education from Kansas University and experience as a professional dancer and choreographer led her to authorship of the “Anatomy of Exercise and Movement” and “The Vital Psoas Muscle”.
