Meditation cushions will be available at the workshop and you can purchase the one you sit on at the event for $34. Please bring cash or checks made out to “Alex Mill.”

Purchasing a cushion is a worthwhile investment and a symbol of commitment to yourself. Meditation is not something you do just a couple times in order to experience the benefits. It is like anything you practice, the more you do it – the better you will get. And like a sport or a musical instrument, there are tools you need to purchase to begin.

If you sit on the ground cross-legged and your knees do not touch the floor or if you have knee issues that would prevent you from kneeling, please bring a stool or a chair to sit on.

You will also need to wear modest, loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.

Zen Meditation Workshop!
This is a workshop designed to teach beginners the practice of mindfulness meditation. There are many different types of meditation practices available in the world. This one stems from traditional Zen Buddhist origins and focuses on being present to everyday activities – beginning with just sitting still.

The more we practice directing our attention, the more we will enjoy the process of living the life we’ve got.

The benefits to practicing this form of meditation is increased clarity and receptivity to insights, a deeper ability to focus, and a greater potential to relax yet remain alert.
