Julia NovinaApril 27, 2015 I have co-led 4 retreats at this center. The space is beautiful, spacious, comfortable. Limited wall space but otherwise perfect for yoga.
I checked out several centers and Angel's Rest had by far the best accommodations, food and prices. You will feel fully cared for - food made & cleaned up for you, snacks provided, rooms at the ready - all you do is show up and enjoy. All that and two hot tubs!
The food is delicious, healthy and "plentiful" ~ without being wasteful. We have had big groups and sometimes a dish ran out but only when it came to seconds. Always enough for everyone for a proper meal.
It isn't "remote" - only 10-15 minutes off the highway - yet it is in the country. As for "attractions nearby" I have only gone there to use the center for retreats, not as a "base" from which to explore the area so I don't know what is nearby and that is irrelevant to me & my group. My group just wants to do yoga and relax in between sessions & meals.
As for the amount of yoga, Angel's Rest doesn't offer yoga. It is a space to rent. You - a yoga teacher - rent it and bring a group there.
April 27, 2015 Angel's Rest Retreat Center along with the staff were remarkable. We hosted a retreat at their center and wanted for nothing--and it was off season! The food was amazing, the place was impeccable and offered a restful place to practice.
