SABRINA VENEZIA is Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga 200hrs E-RYT certified from Yoga Alliance International and 200hrs Ashtanga Yoga certified from India Yoga Alliance in Mysore. Her main focus is on adjustments and alignment to guide you thorough the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga called Yoga Chickitsa and invite you to listen to your body in order to still the mind. Sabrina began practicing yoga in 1993 and has spent many years practcing and teaching in India as well as Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Her yoga teachers are BNS Iyengar and Ajay Kumar of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga school lineage and tradition of Mysore, in the early 90's she was initiated to asana practice by Simon Low (Yin&Yang Yoga and co-founder of Triyoga London), later she studied with Godfridev in Ibiza (Dynamic Yoga), and attended workshops with David Swenson, Lino Miele and Kathy Cooper of the Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa (Kundalini Yoga), Yogeswari and Patrick Broome at Jivamukti Yoga London and in recent years she visit regularly Rishikesh where she practice with Usha Devi (Iyengar Yoga) and Mysore where she follows the teaching of her Guruji. Sabrina is also a vipasana meditator and has studied Buddhist philosophy at in Dharamsala and has knowledge of ayurvedic and macrobiotic nutrition and is a practitioner of holistic therapies like acupuncture and ayurvedic massage and tratments of purification. Sabrina feels blessed for the teachings that she has received and the inspiring people that she has met through her journey and continues a lifetime search for truth, knowledge and spirituality. hoping to be able to help others reaching that glimpse of bliss as she felt within when she embraced the beautiful lifetime journey which is yoga.
IAN BROWN has trained at the Bihar Scholl of Yoga in Rijhia, Jharkhand. He has a strong devotion to the sankalpa of Swami Satyananda to: spread the yoga door to door, shore to shore and the believe that yoga is the medium through which we can realize our true potential and alleviate our suffering.
Ian's journey began 15 years ago, he has travelled extensively India, spent time with the yogis of the himalayas, the Indian families, and visited many temples and ashrams. His path led him to experience many different kind of yoga including spending time to learn Kriya Yoga at the Hariharananda Gurukul. This has enabled him to develop his own brand of yoga meditation that is most suitable to the modern world.
Ian uses techniques of hata yoga, prana vidya and pranayama, nyasa (the ancient tantric practice of awareness and rotation of consciousness throughout the body), as well as yoga nidra techniques to induce deep relaxation and invoke a profound state of union between the panchakosha. He uses the vibrational sound waves of Gongs and Himalayan singing bowls that have a direct effect on the chakra system, creating a natural fine tuning effect.
It is within the calm tranquility of the mind that we can explore ourselves and balance can be brought to imbalance. It is in the silent meditating mind that the body's own natural healing forced can be harness, focused and developed into personal transformation and evolution: this is Gong Yoga.
