About YOL Trips retreat
YOL, Turkish for “the road,” offers transformative reboot experiences for high-performers, teams and individuals all over the world. Think of YOL experiences as “resets” that touch participants on many meaningful levels — physical, mental, spiritual and a desire to give back to organizations in need.
Our focus is on engagement and resilience—getting people to shed stress, improve effectiveness, expand their mind and reconnect with themselves and humanity.
YOL supports personal purpose-finding and promotes professional growth, inspiration and improved productivity. We also work with esteemed partners that can extend or expand your YOL experience both within and beyond the trip.
In addition, YOL works hand in hand with local community-based organizations and NGOs on issues of poverty, health and environmental preservation. We cultivate long-term partnerships and skill transfers between our participants and members of the community.
YOL trips are led by yoga and mindfulness teachers who have been chosen for their skills in working with people of all skills, ages, builds and athletic abilities. All have at least 10 years of experience and at least 5 years of experience leading retreats.
Beginners to advanced students are welcome. A typical YOL trip will offer 1 to 2 yoga classes per day; usually one more active practice and one slower meditative/restorative class is offered. Instructors’ styles vary depending on the trip lead, from slower Yin-based to more active Vinyasa-based teachers. Guided meditation is offered daily and embedded within. All of our teachers are committed to providing participants with the tools to either build a new yoga or meditation practice or advance an existing one. Our instructors are happy to speak with you about any concerns or requests you may have prior to the trip and most offer private instruction during the trip.
