Laura is often described as the consummate student and teacher and each of her classes have a body, mind, spirit and heart component and support the integration of all aspects of the Self. Expect to be profoundly transformed on and off the mat as Laura skillfully and supportively challenges you in any of the categories of poses: standing and seated poses, sun salutations, back and forward bends, twists, hip openers, arm balances and inversions, core work and oftentimes a short chant and pranayama. She artfully and thoughtfully sequences her classes around a specific principle and/or form and progressively guides students into deeper and deeper experiences of that expression in a safe way. Laura clearly illuminates the wealth of alignment knowledge that she has gained from her more than 2 decades of study and invites a deep listening within so that students can embody these principles as their own truth within. Class themes are practical yet soulful and are intended to give students a take away into the reality of their lives off the mat. Regular attendance leads to a profound learning of one’s own body, spirit and mind and inspires students to reach their fullest potential. The class atmosphere is one of support, encouragement, community, contemplation and fun.

Restorative Flow Yoga Class With Gentle Assist.

Iyengar yoga for the advanced beginner and intermediate student. In this extended, 1 hour and 45-minute class, emphasis will be placed on advancing one’s body awareness and anatomical alignment. The practice will include a balanced focus of inversions, backbends, twists and forward bends. Six months consistent yoga asana practice is recommended.

This is a yoga class which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques(pranayama), and meditation techniques(dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The asanas work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility.

This class is suitable for beginning and continuing students who want to learn how to practice yoga, or enhance their existing practice. Learn the fundamentals of yoga postures in a safe and supportive environment, with an emphasis on healthy alignment as taught by Iyengar. Yoga props (blankets, blocks, bolsters) are used to assist in alignment, and to give a sense of the direction and action in poses. Instruction is individualized for the needs of different bodies and ability levels. A consistent beginning yoga practice will improve strength, balance and flexibility.

Power vinyasa class aimed at building body awareness through strength building, correct alignment, and movement with breath. This class offers vigorous sequencing to open and challenge students in their practice. Three classes offered weekly at Marathon Plaza, California St., and North Point locations.

Drawing on a combination of yoga styles, this well-rounded class focuses on balance, stretching and strengthening of the body. This class is ideal for beginners, or student's who would like to deepen their practice.
