Pilates is conditioning system and form of corrective exercise. Pilates focuses on developing a strong core, thereby improving one's coordination and balance. In addition to offering improved flexibility, Pilates builds muscle strength and endurance, particularly in students' legs, abdominals, hips and back. There is an emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment and on utilising breath to improve strength, stability and circulation. Pilates' is suitable for students of all levels and physical fitness, as exercises can be adapted accordingly.

The key principles underpinning the Pilates system are; concentration, control, centring, flow and efficiency of movement, precision and breathing. Pilates is all about directing movement outward from the core - not the other way around.

'Vinyatha' is a fusion of Vinyasa yoga and traditional Hatha yoga. Enjoy a flowing sequence of delicious stretches, smooth sun salutations and beautiful balances. Like our Vinyasa classes, but with long, luscious holds and a little less fire, Vinyatha offers students a soothing balance of challenge and 'chill'. A great workout for mind and body. Moderate intensity. Suitable for regular practitioners of yoga, or students who have done some Hatha and are interested in expanding their practice to Vinyasa. Suitable for all levels including beginners, but does require a basic level of fitness. Unheated.
