A softer and more meditative practice, dedicated to remedial and gentle yoga practice. Suitable for students of any age and experience, who wish to practise gently and relax deeply. Also ideal for beginners and for those recovering from illness or injury.

Yin Yoga

This class explores beginner, intermediate and advanced asanas. All levels are welcome, and options are available so that poses can be modified to suit individual students' needs. An emphasis is placed on using intelligent movement and alignment principles to deepen awareness in postures and awaken greater mobility and strength. Breath work will be integrated throughout, encouraging practitioners to centre and quieten the mind. Through the continual development of strength, mobility, stamina and breath awareness, students are given an opportunity to cultivate greater energy, mindfulness, and overall well-being.

Kids yoga aids co-ordination, self-awareness and self-esteem whilst stretching and strengthening. Children learn to relax, concentrate and be gentle in a fun, creative environment. Physical benefits include good posture, core muscle strength and joint mobility plus maintaining natural flexibility. Mental and emotional benefits include improved confidence, concentration, relaxation, calmness and clarity. Yoga also helps ease symptoms of childhood stress and anxiety (separation, bullying, ) and can improve sleep patterns.

Restorative Yin Yoga. Tension busting and stress relieving class. Excellent for aiding flexibility and aiding injury recovery.

Restorative poses to release tension and to re-charge energy with pranayama breathing. Open to all.

This gentle, energy-focused class uses static, active and meditative practices to cultivate and refine the qi in the body's organs and meridians. Deep breathing practices as well as visualization practices are also included.

Flow and restorative yoga (or Yang & Yin) is a wonderful combination of vinyasa flow followed by deeper and more restorative postures aimed to free up the body's energy and promote a deep sense of well-being.

The first half of the class will focus on building core strength and flexibility through a range of postures and creative flowing sequences utilising the breath to regulate the pace and quality of movements.

The second half of the class will involve holding postures with relaxed musculature for several minutes encouraging the connective tissue to release and soften helping to cultivate a feeling of renewal, replenishment and relaxation.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (commonly referred to as simply Ashtanga Yoga) is a system of yoga taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. It is a dynamic form of yoga that follows a set sequence of postures (6 sequences in total). Each posture and sequence must be mastered before moving onto the next. “Vinyasa” is a breath and movement system, for each movement there is an associated breath count. Following the vinyasa count is a fundamental part of the Ashtanga Yoga method.

The course aims to teach the participants the basics of Ashtanga yoga postures with a view to increasing flexibility, co-ordination, balance and strength. A focus on healthy alignment principles and an introduction to breathing practices (pranayama) will help build strength and flexibility, as well as cultivate greater mental clarity and calm. This course is perfect for students new to yoga or those wishing to deepen their practice.

A practice of concentration and guided relaxation. The first 30 minutes of this class is very gentle joint releasing movement, followed by Yoga Nidra. Nidra means "sleep" in Sanskrt, but requires full concentration throughout the practice. A real opportunity to clear your mind and plant the seed for real personal growth.

A hot 60 minute hatha practice suitable for all levels

This class will incorporate classic Hatha Yoga postures, with a focus on correct alignment, along with some flowing sequences and breath work to relax the body and de-stress the mind. These classes will help you understand and work with your own body to develop strength and flexibility.

All Levels: Beginners and Experienced students welcome and will accommodate those who have had previous experiences in practicing yoga and are able to confidently and competently attend class, with understanding of and ability to execute a basic standard of alignment and functionality as well the more experienced/advanced student. Variations will be given for all abilities.

This 30-minute class is designed to offer the space to
students to explore and integrate meditation techniques and gentle
breathing practices. The class can be attended on its own, though
it is scheduled so that it can be taken before or after another
class at triyoga as well. Meditation is defined many ways, but
primarily fosters our capacity to attune to the present moment.
Meditation asks that we meet ourselves as we are in each moment,
however difficult or easy that might be. If you are someone who
feels meditation is not for you and your mind is hopelessly busy,
you are the perfect candidate for meditation because you understand
that your mind is busy! If you have a seasoned meditation practice
you will also understand that some days the mind is focused, and
other days it can feel as wild as a raging storm. In the words of
Pema Chödrön, “Meditation takes us just as we are, with our
confusion and our sanity.” In this class, you will learn various
techniques to bring mindful attention to the breath, body and
senses. Some gentle breathing practices will also be offered, which
can help centre and focus the mind and cultivate greater balance to
the nervous system. All levels and every being welcome.
