9 Yin Yoga Classes in the United States

Yin yoga is "the yoga of surrender," working with the connective tissue: fascia tissue ligaments & joints. We hold poses 2-5 minutes, using props to allow our bodies to relax and melt into the pose to release stress.

Sweat and detoxify the body while building endurance and cultivating balance. Find your edge and discover your inner strength. Then, rest and restore the body into a deep relaxation. All levels are welcome, while some vinyasa experience is recommended.

The practice of yin yoga provides the perfect balance to your active yoga practices and your busy life. Focusing on long-held floor poses combined with breath work and meditation, yin yoga goes beneath the superficial muscles to target the dense connective tissues of the body – often in the hips, pelvis, and low back – which are difficult to open and can result in both limited flexibility and stagnant energy. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping practitioner not only to open the body, but also to cultivate the ability to observe and stay with sensation. (All Levels)

Come and join us for a restful and restorative end to your active weekend, and jumpstart your week ahead by bringing centeredness and a sense of wellbeing to your body and mind. Yin yoga targets the fascia and connective tissues in our body, creating great suppleness, openness, and health for our inner organs.

This is a hybrid Yin and Restorative class which Yin aspect incorporates longer holds in the poses which are supported by props. The Restorative aspect necessitates use of props to allow the body and mind to completelt surrender in the shape for a longer period.
