Restorative Yoga is a passive healing practice. It is the centering of your breath and body, aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends.
This slow class will consist of fewer, mainly sitting and laying-down poses with longer holds, relaxing breathing exercises and a short meditation.
As always, each class is centered around a certain topic and works on improving wellbeing on 3 levels.
BODY: tension release, full body stretch,
MIND: prepare for restful sleep,
EMOTION: cultivate peacefulness and state of deep calm.
We will practice several ways of entering a state of deep relaxation.
Yin Yoga is a perfect balancer, it is good for your if you are perpetually tired, feel anxious, experience sleep problems; when your mind is too erratic and over-active, whether you are craving for more energy or you feel you have too much of it.
