The approach to this class is simple: break the ice, get fit, avoid injury, learn the classical foundations of yoga, be in supportive community, and have fun while doing it. The focus on new students means allowing you to slow down, build your personalized practice, ask the important questions, and discover your meaningful connection to yoga.

Cleanse, stretch and strengthen the body, as well as focus and calm the mind. Link breath and movement and create internal heat with 60 minutes of Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow that will inspire you to play with your edge.

This is a yoga class which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques(pranayama), and meditation techniques(dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The asanas work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility.

This class is great for beginners and those looking for specific support with injuries.

Hatha is derived from the Sanskrit words for sun (Ha) and moon (tha), which suggests the goals of balance and harmony between opposites. It is considered the mother of many other forms we know today. You will find a focus on breathe and alignment with an emphasis on allowing your body to move through the postures gently.

The Hatha Flow classes are appropriate for any level yoga with a basic understanding of the postures. You develop self-awareness and a calm mind along with increased flexibility and enhanced state of well-being.

Find balance, build strength and cultivate ease in this dynamic yoga practice. The first half of the class will focus on strengthening poses to build muscle tone and flexibility, and in the second half of the class you will relax and completely unwind with therapeutic and gentle restorative poses that will help you let go of chronic stress and tension in the body and mind. Everyone is welcome.

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic system of practicing asanas (poses). Yoga postures flow in a logical sequence. Each position complements those that precede and follow. This practice focuses on the synchronization of breath & the continuous flow of movement. Vinyasa is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. This class can be strenuous; may be appropriate for beginners.

The Rocket is a dynamic, lively-paced Vinyasa flow class in the system of Ashtanga. Called the Rocket because "it gets you there faster," it empowers you with the knowledge that you're stronger than you think you are, and that there's nothing to fix: come as you are and do what feels right. Just show up.

Rocket 1 focuses on opening and strengthening the lower half of the body: legs and hips.
Rocket 2 focuses on strength and flexibility in the upper half of the body: back and hips.
Rocket 3 Happy Hour! plays with the dance of the breath and is all about learning to go with the flow. Combining all the poses from Rocket 1 and 2, the transitions between poses become just as valued as the poses themselves.

Practice a strong Hatha yoga class with flowing sequence of asanas (poses) usually built around the classical Surya Namaskar (sun salutation). A strong connection between breath and movement creates a moving meditation to relax the mind while energizing the body. Props may be used for support.

This authentic style of yoga combines multiple lineages of Yoga including the "yoga of immortality" or sukshma vyayama and principles of Universal Kabbalah. Powerful beyond words, the basic approach is relatively simple: use of Pranayama (conscious breath), mudra (hand positions), Mantras of many faiths (singing), and asana to open the meridians and remove all blocks. Shakti Naam is a non-denominational yet spiritually devotional practice open to all.

A fun filled dynamic class, where you will flow, move with breath, sweat, build mental clarity and also cultivate discipline so that by the end you feel calm, clear and refreshed.
In all of my classes I give options so you can work at the level you want depending on how you feel that day.

This 10-session series is specially designed for beginners. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. This is the perfect place for total beginners, or students who want a better understanding of the basic yoga poses. All body types and abilities are welcome.

Each session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to enter Level I classes.

Interested? You can purchase a fundamentals pass for $108. You are paying for up to 10 sessions of fundamentals classes. Makeups can be made at any other Yoga Fundamentals class. Note: This series is offered at a special discount. Once you have started to use your Fundamentals series pass, no refunds or credits on it are permitted. Your pass can only be used for fundamentals classes.

Want to join the class but cannot attend the whole series? Though students are encouraged to attend consistently throughout the series, drop-ins are welcome.
