Our yoga classes are all levels. We ask students to find the level most comfortable for them while practicing. We offer props to help and our teachers are wonderful in guiding students to find their limits.

This class can be applied to all levels of Yogic practitioners. The techniques in this class can be used for self-care and to care for loved ones. Ayurveda, which literally translated means "the science or knowledge of life" is the traditional medical system of India. The knowledge of Ayurveda has its written origins in the Vedas, the sacred texts of India, believed to be the oldest writings in the world, and is the sister science of Yoga. Ayurveda's approach to healing is to reestablish harmony between self and environment. Once reestablished, the need for the body to communicate disharmony diminishes, symptoms of illness dissipate, and healing is said to have occurred. Ayurveda describes the human being as being composed of five elements, three doshas (biological energies), seven dhatus (tissues), and numerous srotas (channels). The five elements are ether, air, fire, water, and earth. Nora is a certified Ayurvedic Counselor and has many years of experience as a yoga teacher, spiritual coach and energy worker. She will guide you to understand your own composition of the elemental qualities (dosha) and help you to connect with your environment and its affects on your body and mind to facilitate balance and healing. This class is meant to teach the wisdom of Ayurveda that can be applied practically to every day living and to harmonize with consistent yoga practice.

For beginning yoga students as well as those who want to develop their understanding of the practice of yoga. Classes will contain lengthier explanations and postures modified to students’ needs. This class includes stretches to warm the body; conscious breath; formal yoga postures; and meditation and/or relaxation. No prior experience required; open to all students.

Third Thursday of the Month Yang/yin

This class is progressive and can be applied at any fitness level. It simplifies the concept of movement and its impact on the body and mind. Nora targets movement patterns that are key to healthy function while introducing concepts of relaxation and rejuvenation that have widespread, quality of life improving benefits. Nora uses corrective exercise, relaxation and functional movement techniques she has attained in her many years of experience as a personal trainer, pre/post rehabilitation therapist, yoga teacher and energy worker to teach you how to improve your health and vitality safely and effectively.

In this class you will learn meditation techniques along with breath regulating exercises that improve oxygen and blood circulation and calm the nervous system. You will also learn functional movement patterns that improve mobility, stability, balance, strength, power and flexibility. Nora will also teach you aspects and qualities of the five elements (space, air, fire, water, earth) that will help guide connection to your body and your environment.

This is the class for you if you are brand new to yoga, returning after time away, or in need of or wanting to review the fundamentals. Perfect for beginners. Each class may include some discussion of yoga philosophy and history. Basic classical yoga poses are taught with an emphasis on correct alignment. Beginning breathing and meditation techniques are incorporated and time is allowed for questions and answers as well.
