With the soft light of salt lamps and candles, in a (very lightly) warmed room during Winter, this class begins with gentle centering and breath work, followed by a nourishing pure Yin practice of longer-held, floor-based postures, with both gentle and deeper options for you to choose between, depending how you feel.

A slow, mindful practice appropriate for all levels, encouraging you to melt towards the quiet at your center - maybe uncovering on the way the ease, and joy, already within. Not only does this practice release tension and tightness in the body, it is also a wonderful tonic for the nervous system - a very beneficial practice, along with Restorative on Sunday afternoons, to support physical and mental well-being for all; as well as alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression, and encouraging a calm, vibrant state of being.

Mal will teach you yoga that will assist you to maintain your strength, balance, flexibility, stamina and general health as you get older.
You'll get detailed instruction and personal attention in a small class using yoga props to assist you to stretch and work without straining.
Suitable for first timers or those returning to yoga after a break.

Designed for those with little or no yoga experience or those looking to re-connect with the foundations of yoga. We look at the language of yoga, central aspects of alignment, how to keep yourself free from injury (or protect any injuries or weak spots you’re carrying), basic yoga postures, and some of the core, less tangible aspects of the practice. This course will build your flexibility, strength and confidence.

If you suffer from a chronic case of ‘monkey mind chatter’ (a brain that !) this one can be a challenge – which means you definitely need it! Slow deep stretches promoting deep flexibility and a strong focus on breathing will leave you feeling like you’ve had a massage and a nap!
