60 minute version of ashtanga led primary

This class is a flowing vinyasa style class using sequential movement that interlinks postures to form a continuous flow. It is excellent for increasing aerobic fitness and strength as well as flexibility. It is a stronger style of class and a little more challenging. However as with all our classes easy options are given, so you can make it as easy or challenging as you’d like.

Meditation, relaxation bookending a general hatha yoga class

Using the traditional Chinese system of the 5 elements (Earth,Water, Wood, Metal, Fire), related organs & meridians to bring energetic activation & energy balance into the body. Focus on relaxing the nervous system to facilitate the pranic flow into and around the body.

A lovely class for all levels, you will be guided and assisted to find correct alignment in your body so that your yoga becomes filled with ease and grace.

These classes are suitable for beginners with a reasonable level of fitness & without any major injuries, and also for those with a little more experience. They are a little more challenging than the straight Beginners classes, but are suited to those in the room in each class.

If you've never practiced before, the straight Beginners classes or the Introduction to Yoga 6 week course are ideal places to begin.

You will be offered variations according to what your body is asking at each moment - and you only ever need to do what you feel comfortable doing - you always choose your own practice :)

Intermediate Vinyasa

A 40 min yoga class in the beautiful botanic gardens (under the shade of a beautiful tree). A great way to have a break from the office get your zen on and recharge.

This meditative hatha yoga class balances body and mind while giving an all over stretch and is an ideal pick-me-up and reset for busy lives. Using the breath to focus and deepen our practice, we allow the body to open and soften at a gentle pace which calms the mind and revitalises the body. Suitable for all levels and abilities.

Heated to 30 degrees, expect it to be sweaty, dynamic and intensely satisfying. POWER focuses on building strength, balance, endurance and flexibility through the powerful practice of breathing techniques, challenging arm balances, inversions and backbends. A dynamic flow of poses that keeps your practice varied and super fun creating energy, vitality and freedom for the body and mind. Yin Yoga is the opposite to Power Yoga so in this class we wind down with the softness of yin yoga at the regular practice you will make rapid progress and you will begin to feel the benefits of yoga in all areas of your life. . – All levels welcome

Suitable for new yogis or yogis that are pregnant, injured or looking for a slower more nurturing class. A nourishing and comforting class.

With the soft light of salt lamps and candles, in a (very lightly) warmed room during Winter, this class begins with gentle centering and breath work, followed by a little flowing movement to warm and open the body, and calm the mind. From there we move into a nourishing practice of long-held, floor-based yin-style postures, with both gentle and deeper options for you to choose between, depending how you feel.

A slow, mindful practice appropriate for all levels, encouraging you to melt towards the quiet at your center - maybe uncovering on the way the ease, and joy, already within. Not only does this practice release tension and tightness in the body, it is also a wonderful tonic for the nervous system - a very beneficial practice, along with Restorative on Sunday afternoons, to support physical and mental well-being for all; as well as alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression, and encouraging a calm, vibrant state of being.

75 minute vinyasa class focusing on alignment

Hatha Yoga classes are slower moving, poses are held longer and the focus on deep stretching and strengthening. Monday and Thursday classes are more challenging, but easier options are given to tailor the class to suit most levels of fitness and flexibility.

1hr General level Hatha vinyasa class, including standing, seated and floor asanas, including options for beginner to advanced level. Mats are provided, along with other props, or you may bring your own. Bring a blanket for relaxation. Come and experience yoga on a sprung floor! It's very soft on the knees and other joints.

These classes are for women at any stage of pregnancy through to third trimester. You will practise classical yoga and tune into the consciousness of your growing baby.
