The approach to this class is simple: break the ice, get fit, avoid injury, learn the classical foundations of yoga, be in supportive community, and have fun while doing it. The focus on new students means allowing you to slow down, build your personalized practice, ask the important questions, and discover your meaningful connection to yoga.

A great way to start your week and strengthen your inner and outer body. Regardless of your age and experience with yoga, this yoga practice is for everyone. Come breathe, move your body mindfully and with intention, align bones and muscles, heal your inner being and still the mind.

Hatha is the most common branch of yoga practiced in the United States. Hatha is derived from the Sanskrit words for sun (Ha) and moon (tha), which suggests the goals of balance and harmony between opposites. It is considered the mother of many other forms we know today. You will find a focus on breathe and alignment with an emphasis on allowing your body to move through the postures gently.

The Hatha Flow classes are appropriate for any level yoga with a basic understanding of the postures. You develop self-awareness and a calm mind along with increased flexibility and enhanced state of well-being.

A class especially designed to support women through the phases of pregnancy, birthing and post-delivery by using gentle postures to create ease, build strength, and deepen connection with expectant mother and baby. All levels welcome, but if you are new to yoga, it is best to check with your doctor before beginning. Post-natal classes, babies are welcome.

Mixing TRX with yoga is one of our favorite new fitness hybrids. The suspension training system of TRX both supports and challenges many yoga poses, helping you deepen the stretch while working your entire moves will challenge your core, stretch your back, and tone your arms.

A nourishing practice for all levels

The Rocket is a dynamic, lively-paced Vinyasa flow class in the system of Ashtanga. Called the Rocket because "it gets you there faster," it empowers you with the knowledge that you're stronger than you think you are, and that there's nothing to fix: come as you are and do what feels right. Just show up.

Rocket 1 focuses on opening and strengthening the lower half of the body: legs and hips.
Rocket 2 focuses on strength and flexibility in the upper half of the body: back and hips.
Rocket 3 Happy Hour! plays with the dance of the breath and is all about learning to go with the flow. Combining all the poses from Rocket 1 and 2, the transitions between poses become just as valued as the poses themselves.

Weaving together principles of alignment with a meditative flow this class offers a physically challenging practice embraced with heart and spirit!

Hatha Yoga is a classical asana practice based on the concept of balance. Embodying the idea of yin and yang, hard and soft, this class will relax both mind and body while cultivating a steadiness in the breath. Depending on the instructor, some element of flow may be incorporated, as a slow, steady linking of breath and movement. Music may be played (this varies by instructor) but it is generally meditative in nature. Props may be used to support alignment. This practice is great for beginners as well as students at all levels.

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic system of practicing asanas (poses). Yoga postures flow in a logical sequence. Each position complements those that precede and follow. This practice focuses on the synchronization of breath & the continuous flow of movement. Vinyasa is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. This class can be strenuous; may be appropriate for beginners.

This is a yoga class which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques(pranayama), and meditation techniques(dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The asanas work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility.

Mindful Flow Yoga is a meditation in motion - a practice of discovery by being present with what unfolds in the present moment. Turning within we can clearly see and explore our conditioned and habitual tendencies, held within body, breath and mind.
Marianne creates a new sequence each month, designed to build fluid transitioning between asanas, to develop greater breath capacity and to build a balance of effort and ease, transforming once-difficult postures into a fluid and continuous dance.
Such a practice cultivates mindfulness with an open awareness and responsive quality available at any given moment. With clear intention we are choosing our attitude for the practice, one breath at a time. By choosing a positive mindset we give the mind a positive direction along the path. Practicing in a state of deep focus and awareness, we will begin to experience and rest more fully in a deeper stillness.
