With the support of carefully placed props, we begin to release the muscles around the tailbone and carry the changes all the way up the spine; with precise alignments and hands-on adjustments, the poses are held longer to allow for the deep spinal openings to be incremental, lasting and totally reliable ....

Kripalu Yoga is a compassionate approach with emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation that overflows into daily life. In a Kripalu class, each student is encouraged to find their own level of practice on a given day by looking inward.

The classes usually begin with breathing exercises and gentle stretches followed by a series of individual poses and final relaxation.

It is an experiential path that develops deep awareness of the self while giving specific guidance in the physical aspects of yoga.

This class blends the elements of an intermediate class while progressing into moderately advanced standing and sitting poses and backbends. We will become more conscious of finding ease and effortlessness as we listen and surrender to the wisdom of the breath. Long Shavasana and meditation.
