Amanda Green is a yoga therapist in Austin, Texas working individually with clients in the tradition of Desikachar. Therapeutic yoga draws on many time-tested tools including movement (asana), breathing (pranayama), visualization (bhavana), chanting and meditation to heal or manage specific injuries, illnesses, or conditions.
Amanda believes in yoga’s power to heal and to cultivate a focused mind so we can make the most of our lives and relationships.
Individual yoga therapy provides an opportunity to work one on one with Amanda and to address your needs. Over the course of your initial appointments, Amanda designs a home practice for you that incorporates breath, movement and simple meditation. Sequences are written out so you leave with your personal yoga practice in hand, developed to support your healing process. Each practice is highly-individualized and allows you to progress gradually and carefully from one stage to the next.
