Baker Street Yoga is a heated, all levels vinyasa yoga studio. Vinyasa or “flow yoga” is a highly creative and powerful style of yoga where the steady timing and awareness of the in-breath and out-breathe enable the body to flow gracefully from one posture to the next. It is designed to build strength and flexibility while cultivating balance and overall wellbeing. The room is heated so that muscles warm up more quickly and to allow for a deeper release of tension on the body. It also stimulates sweat and sweating is helpful in detoxifying the body.
This practice is open to ALL ages, abilities, and body types. Teachers focus on precise alignment and offer modifications for postures based on the ability of the student. Students of all levels are encouraged to reach their full potential, focusing not only on flexibility and strength, but also on enjoying the full practice: relaxing the body, opening the mind, and nourishing the soul.
