I have a professional background in contemporary dance and somatic based movement practices and am a budding Buddhist. I have been engaged with both movement and mindfulness for nearly 30 years. The body is the cornerstone of awareness. Yoga is an inward process of self awareness which integrates breath, mind and body to encourage a sense of wholeness where we feel balanced and in harmony with ourselves. A form of physical mindfulness, yoga enables us to be attentive to our body and immerse ourselves in immediate experience reintegrating body and mind, attuning to our senses and refining our experiences.
