Classes at the Iyengar Yoga Center of Las Vegas are taught in the systematic manner outlined by world-renowned yoga master and teacher Iyengar by highly trained and professional teachers. Whether you’ve never done yoga, or are an experienced practitioner of yoga, and you want to learn the postures safely and correctly, the Iyengar Yoga Center of Las Vegas is the place to be. Students will experience how the postures build strength, stamina, and flexibility. Techniques for stress relief and relaxation are also taught. Students will gain the confidence and knowledge necessary to continue practicing yoga at home and at a studio.
Aileen Epstein-Ignadiou, an internationally certified Iyengar Yoga teacher since 1983, has traveled to India on numerous occasions to study with the Iyengar family. Aileen has taught classes and workshops in Tel Aviv, London, Los Angeles, Utah, and Las Vegas, including for the College (CSN) and the University (UNLV). Mother of three children, Aileen studied with the Iyengars while pregnant, and used her unique knowledge and training to develop the pre-natal/post natal program for the prestigious Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles. Having suffered from upper respiratory illness for many years, Aileen enjoys using yoga as a way to help people overcome and prevent health problems.
Since moving to Las Vegas in1992, she founded the Iyengar Yoga Association of Southern Nevada, recently renamed the Iyengar Yoga Association of the Southwest, as it now includes Arizona. Qualified to train teachers, Aileen mentors students who would like to eventually become teachers. Aileen’s desire is to provide the Las Vegas community with professional instruction and a state-of-the-art facility in which to practice and learn yoga.
