Peaceful and welcoming

When you walk in the door, you feel like you've come home. Black Mountain Yoga is beautiful and peaceful. From the heated floors to the stylish boutique, this studio has mastered attention to detail. The first time I entered the studio, I was greeted with a warm smile and felt so welcomed. The teachers are great, especially the owners Brad and Martia. The classes range from power flow to yummy restorative. What I love most about this studio is that there is a yoga class for everyone. Full disclosure, I now teach and manage at this beautiful studio, but my love for this special community grows each day.

Yoga Oasis in the Mountains

Spacious and beautiful, this space is truly something special. You just have to experience it. There's an attention to detail and individual that's often missing from larger studios. Class sizes are smaller, so that means more hands-on adjustments and individual attention.

The minute I walked into Black Mountain Yoga I knew I had found my new "home." I had been heartbroken to leave my close-knit studio and my Teacher in Ohio. Then I found Martia and BMY. I now teach at the studio (full disclosure), and I take several classes a week.
There's something for everyone. Brad's gentle classes are among the most popular, as are Martia's slow flows. (one word: yummy!) Get your butt kicked (safely and mindfully) in Tara's hot flow or in a power hour class. Learn the basics of Ashtanga or tune up your alignment in an Iyengar-inspired class. Try Kundalini, Yoga for Athletes or Deep Stretch Vinyasa (like deep cleaning for the muscles--Lea rocks!).
Just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, this studio is a whole world away. Step inside and be prepared for pure yogic bliss! (Oh, and there's a spa, shower and boutique!)

Black Mountain Yoga is more than a yoga studio. It's a yoga family. We're lucky to have this in our little town. The people who run BMY spend lots of time, money and energy getting the studio to run well and look gorgeous. Most classes are $12, but this is a good deal considering that class size tends to be small, and the studio couldn't be prettier.
