A great antidote to the stresses of a busy life and a wonderful balance for more active practices, this class will take you through a sequence of restful postures, in which you are supported by props and and encouraged to find comfort and ease in your body. These restorative poses, accompanied by simple breathing techniques and gentle stretches, serve to soothe the nervous system and promote relaxation and deep healing on all levels. Restorative Yoga is accessible for everyone, regardless of experience or level of fitness. It is an excellent practice for those recovering from illness or injury, or anyone living with chronic pain. Be still, relax, and find the healing you need.
At least one year of consistent, ongoing practice is suggested before attending, as this class will move you into more highly refined, complex sequencing. You’ll explore more advanced postures and dynamic movement and be challenged to address your inner satya (truth) along the way. Dive deeper into the practice, cultivating higher awareness, and a stronger sense of connection to yourself and your life.
Fight the mid-afternoon slump with this energizing practice. This 60-minute class will reinvigorate your day. Open to all levels, it will incorporate some flow, some stretch, and some relaxation to re-set your day.
This all-levels class is great way to unwind from the week and start your weekend! Bring your mind and body into balance with a guided vinyasa flow, during which we'll practice alignment, breathing and mindfulness as well as easy stretching. Practice at your own level -- everyone is welcome!
A great place to start for those new to the vinyasa style, or anyone who loves the flow but desires a more mellow-paced class. Carrington will guide you through a mindful and soulful exploration of the body. Principles of proper alignment, breathing and mindfulness are taught in variations of basic poses. This is also a great class for more experienced students to "tune-up" and go deeper into the foundation of the practice.
