BoxingYoga™ is a yoga-based training system to support fighters, athletes, and anyone with an active lifestyle; improving mental and physical strength and flexibility to prevent injury, maximise performance and maintain optimal health.
BoxingYoga™ is a test of endurance; with a typical class lasting 60-minutes, divided into twelve 3-4 minute rounds. Performed in one continuous movement flow to music, the routines are typically the same, with intensity changes depending on the participant's ability.
The class starts with a sequence to clear the spine and get the hamstrings stretched-out, which begins to bring a little sweat on. The next four rounds work through the body, starting with the upper-body, moving to the core, the hips and down to the thighs.
The final sequence works on alignment, hips and mobility training with a passive stretch-out at the end for cooling down.
