Great Neighborhood Feeling

This space is full of old charm and character, just across from Arts & Metiers. It feels very much like the sweet neighborhood studio it is. A lovely community of teachers and students here!

A Very Special Space

WOW! I recently visited Paris from the US and was very fortunate to discover Michelle and her Centre de Yoga du Marais. I attended one class and loved it so much that I signed up for a 3-hour workshop. The studio is decorated in peace complete with sunshine. A very positively charged environment. Michelle is an excellent instructor...clear communication in both French and English, graciously offering adjustments, making sure her students are comfortable. She really knows her stuff. The studio is easily accessible. I'm looking forward to returning when I'm back in Paris.

Wonderful yoga in Paris!

I’m so happy that I started to practice yoga when I did, and even more so that it was at the Centre de Yoga du Marais. As a teenager who plays sports, I became so much stronger once I started doing yoga. It is great cross-training for any sport and not only helps one tone one’s body, it also helps one tone one’s mind and emotions.

Michelle, the main yoga instructor, explains during her classes how the breathing techniques and different postures benefit ones emotions, makes one feel more in tune with their surroundings and nature, and teaches one about self-awareness. She is very welcoming and accommodating and genuinely takes the time to get to know her students. It was a fantastic experience and initiated the growth of a lifelong passion for yoga within me.

Just what I needed...

Michelle provided a comprehensive well-paced class that was exactly what I needed as a traveler. Class was in French but she provided instruction in English, as needed (she's from the US originally). Michelle is very welcoming and a very pleasant person to deal with, along with being a fine yoga instructor. (The descriptive sliders above did not work for me in doing this review.)

Yoga at its best

This is a wonderful yoga center, for all the key reasons: A palpable feeling of community, a truly knowledgable staff able to connect to each student and amplify your practice. I learn something knew and feel great after each visit. Namaste.
