Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for awhile, Community Soul Yoga is a place that you’re going to feel comfortable. Classes are challenging and empowering, though there is never any pressure to push harder. It’s totally up to you where your yoga practice takes you. One thing is for sure, though–you will be surrounded by laughter, sweat, smiles, and a sense of community as you push past fears and discover how to love your life even more.
At Community Soul Yoga we practice in a moderately heated space (typically 80-85 degrees). Your experience on your mat will be a powerful one–whether emotionally, physically or spiritually. In a Long, Slow, Deep class the “power” lies in learning to be still and “stick with it” when the going gets tough, whereas in a Vinyasa or Bootcamp class, the “power” comes from being taken to your limits physically. There are no rigid “rules” to follow and we teach you to find the pose that is right for you. Remember, what seems impossible today may suddenly be possible the next time you step onto your mat. No matter your age, weight, or fitness level, our goal is for you to leave the studio feeling inspired and empowered. Being overly self-conscious and critical are counterproductive in yoga and in life. Bring a sense of humor to the mat, be willing to make mistakes, and remember that learning anything new takes time.
